| Michelle Closs, Certified Personal Trainer
I can best describe myself as a passionate person motivated in
the pursuit of knowledge, higher spirituality and maximum physical
fitness. The youngest child of thirteen, I was born into a competitive
atmosphere for excellence and uniqueness. At the age of seven I
was enrolled in Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do, the only martial arts
offered in our small diverse town in western New Mexico. By the
time my family and I moved to Payson, Arizona, I was one stripe
away from my black belt. During my high school career I found a
lifelong hobby in running. Although the same style of martial arts
was not offered I achieved a red belt in Shin Pu Ren as well. Having
been born on the fourth of July, I believe I was destined to serve
my country and after the events of September 11th, I secured that
destiny by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Though not
completely ready to put my college dreams on hold, I applied for
the USMC officer scholarship. I am now 20 years young and currently
attending the University of Arizona in pursuit of a degree in Psychology
and Sports Nutrition. I am First Class Midshipman in the Naval Reserve
Officer Training Corps at the U of A and upon graduation, I will
be commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. The past
six semesters I have scored a perfect 300 on the Marine Physical
Fitness Test and have held such billets as Platoon Commander and
Athletics Officer. On my free time I enjoy Bikram Yoga and training
with the U of A Triathlon Team. Upon completion of my service duties,
I plan to strive for a PhD in the Field of holistic medicine. Hello,
my name is Michelle Closs and through Fitness Together I wish to
share with you my passion for exceptional physical health. |

| Sarah Swaim, Certified Personal Trainer
"Becoming a Personal Trainer at Fitness Together Tucson was
one of the best things that ever happened to me," says Sarah.
Sarah attended Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas with
a spot on the women's soccer team. After three years of intense
soccer training, she left the team to focus on a degree. Two years
later she graduated with a BS in physics and headed to Tucson, Arizona
to start a Biomedical Engineering graduate program at the University
of Arizona where Sarah received her Masters degree in May 2004.
However, she was quickly disenchanted with western medicine in general
and went in search of a job where she could help people using a
more holistic, preventative approach. That is when she met Roxie
at Fitness Together. As a personal trainer Sarah is able to educate
people about healthy lifestyles and motivate them to get there and
stay there!! With the training Fitness Together has provided her
along with her commitment to the medical field, she is now able
to help people become healthy and prevent disease - and have a fantastic
time in the process! Sarah is currently studying for her ACE Certification
in her continued effort to be the best trainer she can be.
Sarah will soon be opening and managing her own studio in Oro Valley. |
